I've been asked this question a lot. I told everyone I would write about my experiences in India, and I haven't even published a single post yet. I've got to start somewhere. But where? So much has happened in the last 8 months in India, so much to remember, so much to talk about. So many incidents have happened that I want to talk about here, but I've been lazy about documenting it I guess.
But I've got to start somewhere.
For now - welcome to my blog! I'm excited that I'm finally getting a post out and I hope to be regular with my writing.
But I've got to start somewhere.
- How about I start with how quickly we settled into our apartment when we got here in March?
- How about I start with that accident I had on my way home from work? Or the one I had on my way to work? How I seem to have more accidents than usual. And no, it's not me driving.
- How about I start with how Monkey Man is settling down and getting to know his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins? How he's speaking with an Indian accent now and how funny that is?
- How about I start with the difference in the work culture in India compared to the US?
- How about I start how frustrating it is to get set up in India - paperwork for employment, banks, buying a car? Why does everyone need to know my "permanent address"? My father's name?
- How about I start with how I've been learning to drive in India?
- How about I start with our social life? Brunches at Taj? Dinners with family? Home delivery?
- How about I start with our travel plans, how much we want to see in India, how much we've managed so far?
- How about I start with the cafe food in my office? Turkey biryani for Thanksgiving? That deserves it's own post!
- How about I start with my observations of India? The India I remember growing up in, vs the one I've come back to.
For now - welcome to my blog! I'm excited that I'm finally getting a post out and I hope to be regular with my writing.
